Every thread is hand loomed by artisan families in the Kanchipuram silk weaving belt of Tamil Nadu as we explore in our Rettapet weave story. Each saree takes close to a week on the loom and cannot be replicated by machine. The body is woven in a warm brick red pure mulberry silk, scattered with petite gold zari buttas across its length.
